On-premise deployment

DNS that never leaves
your network.

The on-premise virtual appliance is available on Business and Enterprise plans. It deploys the full Nantevo resolver stack inside your data center or private cloud — queries are resolved locally, CDN outages are irrelevant, and no DNS content ever leaves your infrastructure.

Appliance pricing is included in Business and Enterprise plan subscriptions. Deployment assistance and appliance configuration support are included with Business priority support and Enterprise dedicated support.

Why design partners matter

Nantevo is a production-proven platform with 2.5 years of operational history — but it's being positioned for enterprise at scale for the first time. The organizations that deploy first will encounter integration requirements, compliance edge cases, and operational workflows that haven't been tested at enterprise scale yet.

Design partners get a platform that works — and the opportunity to make it work exactly the way their environment requires. In exchange for reduced pricing and direct engineering access, they provide the real-world feedback that makes Nantevo enterprise-ready for everyone.

Slots are limited. Priority given to mid-market technology companies, regulated industry operators, and security-first teams that can provide actionable feedback.

Common questions

Pricing questions,
answered directly.

How is a "device" counted for billing?
A device is any endpoint with an active authenticated credential pair — an enrolled MDM profile, a configured browser DoH endpoint, or a registered client on a network forwarder. Devices that are deprovisioned or have their credentials revoked no longer count toward the device total. We count active enrolled clients, not seats or licenses.
Can I mix deployment models — some cloud, some on-premise?
Yes. Business and Enterprise plans support hybrid deployment as a standard capability. You can have cloud-enrolled devices, a local forwarder for on-network legacy devices, and an on-premise appliance for your most sensitive workloads — all under a single account with unified telemetry. Billing is based on total enrolled devices regardless of which deployment model they use.
What happens if I exceed my tier's device limit?
You'll receive a notification before hitting your limit. Exceeding the limit doesn't cause a service interruption — we'll work with you to move to the appropriate tier or negotiate volume pricing. We don't cut off protection because of a billing conversation.
Is there a free trial?
We offer a structured proof-of-concept deployment rather than a self-serve trial — a 30-day guided deployment covering your actual fleet configuration, compliance requirements, and RoCi baseline establishment. Request a demo to start the conversation. Design partner participants receive full access at reduced pricing from the start of their deployment.
How does annual billing work? What's the discount?
Annual billing provides a 20% discount compared to monthly billing — equivalent to getting approximately 2.5 months free per year. Annual contracts are invoiced upfront for the full year. Multi-year contracts (2+ year terms) receive an additional 10% discount on top of the annual rate.
What does "no feature gating on security capabilities" mean?
The core security features — authenticated DoH, RoCi threat intelligence, DGA and C2 detection, malware and phishing blocking, per-client telemetry — are included in every tier at every price point. We don't charge more for better protection. Tier differences reflect operational complexity: deployment model flexibility, logging depth, admin scale, support level, and SLA commitments.
Is pricing available for MSPs or resellers?
Yes. MSPs managing multiple client environments have access to a multi-tenant architecture and partner pricing that reflects the volume across their managed fleet. Contact [email protected] for MSP and reseller program details.
What's included in the on-premise appliance?
The virtual appliance includes the full Nantevo resolver stack, the authentication proxy layer, and the RoCi telemetry agent — deployable as a FreeBSD jail, OCI container, or OVA for VMware/Proxmox environments. DNS queries resolve locally. Only anonymized threat signals stream outbound to the RoCi intelligence pipeline. Full deployment documentation and deployment assistance are included with Business and Enterprise support tiers.
